We take customer service seriously, so we conduct a client satisfaction survey annually to see how we can improve and get feedback on what we're doing well and what we need to do better. Our most recent survey concluded in May of 2023. We had 175 clients complete the survey and our average score was a 9.4 out of 10 (scale with 10 being the best possible score). Health Insurance and Rx Savings Strategists

We believe strategic planning and cost savings is our greatest strength and the most important aspect of our service to you. We have implemented fully insured, self-insured, level-funded, and group health insurance captive plans. Within each of those funding methods we then have a number of proven strategies and levers to curb the health insurance spend of our client. Many of these strategies are unique and when we are talking to a prospect or new client typically they had no idea these options existed. We have an in-house health plan data specialist who will provide an actuarial analysis of your year-to-year claims history to determine your cost drivers and identify the strategy best suited for you.

Please note, not all strategies are appropriate for every business. There are a number of factors to consider when implementing strategies such as company size, appetite for risk, type of plan funding arrangement, and more. Our consultants will help you identify if there are strategies appropriate for your company and culture.

  • Claims management strategies - we have strategies for Dialysis, Catastrophic Claims, Surgical Centers, Ambulatory, Professional Claims, Infusion Therapy
  • Carrier Network Strategy - Depending on what carrier is chosen, an employer can customize their plan design to incentivize members to go to lower cost / higher quality facilities.
  • Medical, Dental & Pharmacy Tourism - Traveling abroad to developing countries to obtain lower priced treatments.
  • Carve Out Stop Loss - this is more of an administrative change but with the right partner can save 5 –10% of premium and implement better provisions to mitigate future risk.
  • Post 65 plan - Offer a post-65 plan that coordinates with Medicare. It will yield ~30% savings with no balance billing. It’s a great option for employers with a post-65 population that are still actively working.
  • Carve Out Rx - We have a proven strategy to save self-funded clients 20 – 30% of prescription drug costs. This is innovative but low-hanging fruit, the key is having the right partner (which we do).
  • Patient Advocacy - carve out member services from the medical carrier and place with a specialty vendor. Their proven approach at engaging 80% of households is actuarial validated to produce on average 5 – 6% savings on claim spend.
  • Referenced Based Reimbursement - partner with a vendor that pays providers based on a % of Medicare as opposed to traditional network discounts. This approach can yield 30% savings off of the medical spend. CGO has a unique crawl, walk, run, sprint strategy so you can dip your toe in the water and ease into this strategy.

Carriers and Vendors We Partner With

CGO works diligently to grow and maintain healthy working relationships with our carriers and vendor partners. We have a significant amount of business with all the major carriers and great relationships with senior management. One of the most important things a health insurance broker for small business should do is advocate for the best interests of their client and that's exactly what we do - seeking to find you the best benefit plans at the most affordable rates.
